Validation of pilots registered on the platform

To register as a Wingly Pilot, pilots must fill in a number of details to obtain a verified profile:
  1. Email
  2. Phone number
  3. Address
  4. Pilot's license
  5. Medical certificate
  6. Description
Pilot's license and medical certificate are manually checked and validated by our Pilot Service.

The aim of this process is to improve the level of security and trust within our community of co-pilots.
In this way, a complete and verified pilot profile appears on our platform:

Passengers who also have a complete and verified profile (ID card, description...) have a higher rate of acceptance of their flight request by pilots.
Indeed, it's easier for a pilot to trust a validated passenger.

Measuring a pilot's reliability

One of the pillars of the Wingly community is trust and transparency.
That's why we've set up a system of ratings and comments between users, as well as free access to information about the pilot's experience.
You can access this information by clicking on the pilot's profile photo on the flight page:

After a co-piloting flight, pilots and passengers are invited to give their impressions of the flight and its organization.
Member reviews can also answer any questions you may have about a flight or a pilot.

Insurance on a Wingly flight

Passengers, their luggage, and third parties on the ground are automatically covered by the civil liability insurance of the aircraft operator. However, Wingly pilots and passengers benefit from extra coverage if the compulsory insurance is insufficient.

Insurance is at the heart of the services offered by Wingly. We offer our users a unique and carefully designed insurance underwritten by Allianz Global Corporate and Speciality SE (AGC & S) and powered by SAAM Verspieren Group, covering all light aircraft flights across Europe and countries along the Mediterranean coast.
Our complementary co-packing insurance is free and offered systematically on all flights booked on Wingly.

If you would like any further information or if you have any questions, please feel free to contact us directly at hello@wingly.io. We will be happy to assist you from Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 5.30 pm.
