Cancel a Booked flight

Cancel a Booked flight

First of all, be aware that in your capacity as captain, you are the sole decision maker for the conduct of the flight and in view of the constraints linked to light aviation, it is possible that you have to cancel or reschedule a flight. This is why the Wingly platform has been designed to facilitate and encourage rescheduling or cancellation with a view to minimizing the risk of destination objective.
  1. You should also know that passengers are made aware in advance of the high probability of postponing or canceling the flight.
We advise that you to always contact your passengers in advance by telephone, Wingly messaging service or email to explain the reason for your cancellation or postponement: adverse weather conditions, aircraft availability, personal availability, etc.

To access your reserved flights and cancel, here is the procedure:

Step 1. Go to your Cockpit space and then to "Bookings" to be able to access the list of your scheduled flights.
Step 2. Then click on the booked flight you wish to cancel.
Step 3. Click on "Cancel flight" and enter the necessary information.

Once cancelled, the flight disappears from your list of reserved flights and passengers are notified and fully refunded through a gift card system that can be used on all flights on the platform.
We encourage you, whenever possible, to prefer a flight postponement rather than a flight cancellation. Indeed, currently half of the flights booked do not take place on the day initially planned (weather causes, aircraft availability, etc.) and in 90% of cases the flights are then postponed to a later date and 10% are actually cancelled.
If you have any questions, you can contact us directly at tower@wingly.io or by phone on +447708405306. We are available from Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 17:30.
