Is my flight guaranteed?

Wingly is not an airline, but a platform that brings private pilots and passengers together.

Pilots who offer free seats and passengers who are curious to experience the world from a different perspective.

In doing so, the flight costs are shared. Our goal is to provide people with low-cost, but above all easy access to general aviation.

General aviation flights are often conducted under visual flight rules.

Such visual flights may well have to be cancelled due to weather, aircraft availability or maintenance work on the aircraft.

Wingly pilots are not employees of Wingly.

  • They are mostly private pilots who use their free time to fly.
  • Therefore, it is possible that their schedule changes at the last moment and they are forced to postpone or even cancel the flight.
  • They do not provide a commercial service and do not make a profit.
  • The pilot contributes to the cost of the flight, as do the passengers.

The pilot, in his capacity as pilot-in-command, is solely responsible for deciding whether or not to conduct a flight.

Passengers must not under any circumstances attempt to influence the pilot, as only he can judge whether a flight is feasible under the given weather conditions.

Pilots usually start flight preparations several days in advance, so he may be able to inform you in advance about weather developments.
Do not hesitate to contact your pilot with any questions before the flight.

For safety reasons, Wingly pilots are not obliged to fly.

There is no guarantee that the flight will take place at the time originally agreed with the pilot.

In the event of cancellation by the pilot:

  • If payment is made by gift card, it will be recharged and extended for one year.
  • If you pay by Paypal or credit card and Sofort, a new gift card will be created to which your balance will be added so
    that you can make a new booking immediately. You can view and manage your new gift card in your profile under "Gift cards".
  • When paying partly by gift card and Paypal or credit card, the respective means of payment is charged again as a gift card
    and both variants can be used simultaneously in the new booking.
