[PRO] Reschedule a booked flight
First of all, be aware that as a commercial operator, you are the only decision maker of the flight and in view of the constraints related to light aviation it is possible that you have to cancel or reschedule a flight. This is why the Wingly platform has been designed to facilitate and encourage rescheduling or cancellation with a view to minimizing the risk of destination objective.
You should also know that passengers are made aware in advance of the high probability of postponing or canceling the flight.
We invite you to always contact your passengers in advance by telephone, Wingly messaging service or e-mail to explain the reason for your cancellation or postponement: adverse weather conditions, machine availability, personal availability, etc.
Here is the procedure for rescheduling a booked flight:
Please note that the postponement of a flight from an effective booking is arbitrary. That is to say that the new date will be automatically applied without request for confirmation by the passengers. This is why we invite you to always contact the passengers in advance in order to agree on a potential new date for the flight and then proceed to the postponement on your Wingly profile in order to avoid any confusion on the part of the passengers.
We encourage you, whenever possible, to prefer a flight postponement rather than a flight cancellation. Indeed, currently half of the flights booked do not take place on the day initially planned (weather causes, machine availability, etc.) and in 90% of cases the flights are then postponed to a later date and 10% are actually canceled.
If you have any questions, you can contact us directly at
tower@wingly.io or by phone on +447708405306. We are available from Monday to Friday from 9:30 to 17:30
