Why should I become a Wingly Pilot?

Why should I become a Wingly Pilot?

Since our inception in 2015, Wingly has built a vibrant community of passengers and pilots across Europe. For the first time ever, we are presenting fixed-wing and helicopter pilots with the opportunity to effortlessly network with passengers in order to legally share the cost of their flying. Below we have summarised some of our favourite reasons for you to embark on your journey as a Wingly pilot:

1. Fly for less

Every pilot will be aware of how expensive our passion can be to pursue. At Wingly we are aiming to change this. Alongside us, your flying expenses can be reduced by 50% and often by even more. Our cost-sharing model is approved by the CAA and allows you to share the price of aircraft hire, fuel, landing fees, and more.

2. Stay current and fly more often

Lowering your costs presents you with the option to fly more often and who doesn’t love an opportunity to spend extra time in the air? Whether you’re hour-building, flying for fun or even a seasoned professional, Wingly allows you to connect with your passion and sharpen your skills more regularly.

3. Meet great people

Often our passengers are those expressing an interest in general aviation for the first time, presenting you with the opportunity to introduce them to the air and create unforgettable memories. We regularly hear stories of in-flight proposals, birthday trips, and passengers who end up falling in love with aviation. Wingly gives you the chance to craft these memorable moments which will remain with you for a lifetime.

4. Meet great people

Wingly is a highly social platform that consistently attracts fantastic reviews for its pilots. Many passengers are aviation enthusiasts themselves or are those who will be flying for the first time to mark a special occasion. Not only will we reduce your flying expenses, but we will also present you with the opportunity to meet great people and help make their dreams become reality.

5. Challenge yourself

We regularly hear from pilots who express to us how much Wingly has helped them to improve their skills, deepen their knowledge and refine their flying habits. If you’re stuck in the same pattern in the air and want to break away, Wingly presents you with the ideal way to do so.

If you have any questions, you can contact us directly at tower@wingly.io or by phone on +447708405306. We are available from Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 17:30.
