Create a flight template

Create a flight template

To be able to add a flight, you must first have added at least one aircraft type to your profile. Please also ensure you have permission from the aircraft owner/club that you intend to do Wingly flights before posting the aircraft on the platform.

      Step 1 - Flight Type & Route

Once you have logged into your pilot profile, click on the tab "add a flight" which appears on the top right of the page.
Choose the type of flight
  1. Sightseeing Flight:
  2. Excursion Flight:
  3. One Way:
You may then add your route & sightseeing points. We recommend adding at least 5 sightseeing points, as it will make the flight more attractive and strengthen the chances of it getting booked.

      Step 2 - Description & Photos

The aim of this section is to encourage passengers to book your flight! Describe your flight in an enticing but concise way so as to best convey the experience that they will receive if they book. The more precise the details, the better the chance you’ll have of receiving bookings.

We recommend adding 4-5 pictures  This is your chance to add high-quality photos which show the potential sights that will be visible during the flight. We recommend that you add a minimum of 3 photos to maximize your chances of booking. The higher the quality, the better!

Please ensure you own the rights to the pictures you use. Wingly can not be held liable for any copyright claims.

      Step 3 - Duration & Cost-sharing model

You will have to submit 2 different durations for the flight:
  1. Engine Time (or flight time): Duration used to calculate the cost of the flight. This can be flight time or engine time depending on your aircraft billing structure.
  2. Experience Time: Duration of the entire experience (including Brief, Debrief, Safety Checks, etc.) will take for you and the passenger. This is solely for information purposes
Please submit the maximum number of passengers you would like to share this flight with.

You will then be prompted to choose  between 2 costs-sharing models:
  1. Equal cost-sharing: All costs will be equally split between you and the passengers. For instance, if you fly with 2 passengers, the passengers will carry 2/3 of the total flight costs.
  2. Fixed price per seat: You establish a fixed price per seat, which does not change according to the number of seats reserved.
Add any additional costs if necessary. This could be landing fees, handling fees, parking fees, or rental equipment. These costs will be shared with the passengers as well.

 Step 4 - Booking settings & verification

Please choose your booking preferences by selecting a booking cut-off time. You may chose anything from last second to 1 week before the requested take-off date.

Please verify if all information is correct. Once this is done, you can create the flight template.

Flight templates are not yet bookable by passengers. Once a flight template is created, please schedule your availability to publish your flight on the wingly website. Click here to learn how to add your potential availabilities for a flight.
