Get a refund after a flight has been cancelled or a booking request has failed

If your booking request is unsuccessful, or if your flight is cancelled more than 48 hours before the scheduled date, your flight request will be automatically forwarded to all available pilots in the area, so that one of them can offer to take over your flight. You can find more details about this rebooking feature here, as well as the procedure to follow if you wish to stop the search for a new pilot and proceed with a refund.

If your booking request fails or if your flight is cancelled less than 48 hours before the scheduled date, you will be refunded as follows:
  1. In the event of a payment only with a gift card, the voucher will be automatically recredited and extended for one year from the date of cancellation of the booking.
  2. If you paid by PayPal or credit card, a gift card will be immediately created and added to your Wingly account, enabling you to use it to book a new flight.
You can view and manage this new gift card from your profile in the "My gift cards" tab.
  3. In the event of a payment both with a gift card and PayPal/Credit card, the gift card used will be recredited again with the initial amount and extended, and a new gift card will be created, corresponding to the additional amount paid by PayPal or credit card.
Both gift cards can then be used simultaneously for a new booking.
Gift cards created following the failure of a booking request or the cancellation of a flight may only be refunded within 14 days of the failure, provided that they have not been partially used for a new booking.

To request a refund for this type of gift card, follow the procedure below:

Once the procedure has been completed, the refund will be sent to the payment method used within 3 to 5 working days, depending on your bank's processing times (excluding bank holidays and weekends).
