How another pilot can take over your flight
If your booking request is unsuccessful, or if your flight is cancelled more than 48 hours before the scheduled date, it will be automatically forwarded to all available pilots in the departure region. One of these pilots will then be able to offer to take over your flight, making it easier to find a new flight.
You will receive an email informing you about the status of your booking request. It will include all the details about the current search for a new pilot:
Number of pilots your request has been sent to
All airfields your request has been forwarded to
Date before the new search expires, etc.
You can access the details of the current search by going to the "My bookings" section of your Wingly profile, then clicking on "View request".
To increase your chances of finding an available pilot for your flight, you can add additional dates to the search or change the list of preferred departure airfields. This way, you can avoid receiving a flight offer that doesn’t meet your preferences. You also have the option to decide whether the new offer from a pilot should be automatically accepted or first confirmed by you.
If you wish to modify the search period, you can also change the date on which the search is interrupted by clicking on "Edit the end date of the search" or "Cancel the search".

Please note that the end date can only be changed if you have added multiple availabilities. If you have selected only one date, the search will remain active until at least 48 hours before this date.
If your flight is canceled less than 48 hours before the scheduled date, your request will not be forwarded to other pilots and will be automatically canceled. You will then be refunded according to our terms and conditions. You can find all details about our refund policy here.
If a pilot offers to take over your flight, you will be notified via SMS and email, and you will have 24 hours to respond.
Here’s how to respond to a pilot’s offer to take over your flight:
1. Login to your Wingly account and go to the "My Bookings" section.
2. Click on "View Request" to access the details of the pilot's new proposal.
3. You can then either accept or decline the offer.

If you provided alternative dates in your initial booking request, the pilot may offer to reschedule your flight to one of these dates.

If the new pilot's offer does not meet your expectations, you can reject it and decide to interrupt the search or resume it so that another pilot can make you an offer.
If you decide to continue the search, you will be able to update the airfields from which you can fly and your availabilities. You can also decide whether to accept a pilot's next offer automatically or to respond to it manually. If you decide to cancel the search, your Wingly account will be credited according to the following conditions.
