No response from the pilot following a booking request

No response from the pilot following a booking request

Info
The pilots offering flights on Wingly are private individuals who are passionate about aviation — they’re not Wingly employees. They choose to share their love of flying by taking you along and splitting the cost of the flight. This is not a commercial service. As such, their availability depends on their personal schedules, which can sometimes lead to slight delays in responding to your requests.

  1. Once you've submitted your booking request, the pilot has 48 hours to respond. Depending on their availability, they may
    1. Accept your request for your preferred date or for an alternative date you've provided
    2. Decline your booking request
    3.  Suggest other dates if the ones you've selected don't work for them

If your booking request is unsuccessful (due to a decline or no response) more than 48 hours before the requested date, it will automatically be shared with all available pilots in the departure area. This gives another pilot the opportunity to take over your flight, making it easier for you to find a new option. For more information about booking takeovers, click here.

If your booking request is unsuccessful less than 48 hours before the desired date, you will be refunded as follows:

Payment by gift card:
Your gift card will be automatically recredited and extended if needed to ensure at least six months of validity going forward.

Payment by PayPal or credit/debit card:
A gift card equal to the value of your booking will be issued. It will be valid for one year and can be extended in 6-month increments, making it easier for you to submit a new booking request.

Mixed payment (gift card + PayPal/credit/debit card):
The amount paid via PayPal or credit/debit card will be reissued as a gift card valid for one year, extendable in 6-month increments. Your original gift card will also be recredited and extended if necessary to guarantee at least six months of validity. Both gift cards can be used together for a future booking.

Notes
In some cases, it may happen that the pilot contacts you after the 48-hour confirmation period has passed. In this case, you can agree on a new date together, and then you can submit a new booking request.
